Hello! My name is Sergey Piskunov. I found out about Nottingham University Ningbo, China from my study agent in a city I live in. Before UNNC, I was supposed to go to another university, but in China anyway, and I am very glad that Irina Vasileva, my agent, had told me about UNNC just few months before I had set my mind. The fact that this University is fully English, and moreover, that it is one of the oldest and most respectful universities in Britain, was the major point for me to choose The University of Nottingham Ningbo, China.

The city of its location is Ningbo, Zhejiang province, one of the most highly developed provinces in China. This city, in my point of view, is a very good choice for establishing the University, because it is neither big nor small and not as crowded as most Chinese cities. Besides, it is one of the cleanest cities in the world, which is a good point also. :-)

In the UNNC, all students are supposed to speak English, but I would like to recommend to all international students coming here to learn a bit of Chinese. This will make your life easier here, in the University, and in China as a whole. As you are entering the university, you will be given a choice whether to go as first year or second year students (unless you have an appropriate English level certificate). So, my strong suggestion to you to start as a freshman. It will give you some kind of time to see how the land lies, to get used to new culture, new people and atmosphere. But anyway, last decision is up to you!
